Frequently Asked Question
Q. When do classes start?
A. Enroll now and start immediately! Because you're in a "class of one," there's no need to wait for the next semester - class is in session whenever you're ready to learn.
Q. How long will it take to complete my training?
A. It's up to you. With ICS Canada, you set your
own pace...complete your training as quickly or as slowly
as you like. Many of our programs can be completed in less
than a year if you study just an hour a day. The maximum
time you have to complete a Diploma program is two years.
Q. Do I need any previous experience?
A. Most ICS Canada programs are designed so even beginners
with no experience can get off to a fast start toward an
exciting new career. As long as you can read and write, and
have average intelligence, you should be able to complete
your training without any difficulty. However, some Career
Diploma programs require that you have a High School Diploma
to enroll. This prerequisite is noted in the individual program
descriptions where applicable. If you don't have your High
School Diploma, but are interested in getting it, click on
High School Diploma for details on ICS High School. It's
recommended that you be familiar with personal computers
before enrolling in the programming in Visual C#® .NET
or Internet Specialist programs.
Q. I have been out of school for a long time. Will I have trouble?
A. You shouldn't. ICS Canada training is unlike attending classes at other schools. You proceed at your own, individual pace, learning at the most comfortable speed. Lessons are easy to understand, and contain plenty of pictures and diagrams to illustrate important points.
Q. Do I need to buy any extra books or supplies?
A. You don't need anything extra to get started - just a pen and paper and the willingness to learn. All programs comprise the learning materials you need to complete your training and are included in the one low tuition price you pay. However, in the programs that include computer training, you will need to have access to an IBM®-compatible PC (see individual program descriptions for system requirements).
